REASON FOR URGENCY

This report is urgent and will be considered in accordance with paragraph 92 of Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution.

The Corporate Director of Children’s Services is proposing to make an urgent key decision on the Governing Body of Mount Carmel Catholic College for Girls’ proposal to close the school. The Council has to take its decision on the closure decision by 2 January 2017 otherwise it has to be referred to the Schools’ Adjudicator for decision. The next meeting the Executive is not until 19 January 2017.
