Update: Council meetings and Covid-19
Following the relaxation of legal restrictions relating to Covid-19, the Council has updated its arrangements for council and committee meetings at Islington Town Hall.
As required by national legislation, all Council and Committee meetings, with the exception of Licensing Hearings, must be held in person.
The Council is applying the following arrangements for formal meetings, taking into account Public Health advice, the health and safety of all attendees, and the need to ensure that the council’s democratic processes are transparent and accessible to residents:
- meeting rooms are operating with a reduced capacity, with attendees advised to keep a one metre distance from each other;
- please do not attend meetings at the Town Hall if you have tested positive for Covid-19, or believe you may have Covid-19;
- additional safety measures will include opening windows for ventilation, the use of CO2 monitors, and hand sanitiser available at all meetings. Attendees may wish to consider wearing a face covering.
We will webcast the majority of meetings, enabling members of the public to watch the meeting live online. The link to the webcast is available on the webpage for each meeting, alongside the agenda papers.
If you have any questions about webcasting or attending meetings, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Licensing Hearings will continue to be held virtually on Zoom. Guidance on how to participate in these meetings is available here.
