Announcement: Council meetings and Covid-19
As required by national legislation, all Council and Committee meetings, with the exception of Licensing Hearings, will now be held in person at Islington Town Hall.
Following the easing of most Covid-19 legal restrictions on 19 July, the Council has reviewed the arrangements for public attendance at Council and Committee meetings.
In light of the government advice to proceed with caution, that infections rates are currently very high and the Council’s responsibility to ensure the safety of members of the public, members of the Council and its staff, we are continuing to maintain social distancing for formal meetings and it is therefore still necessary to limit the number of attendees at each meeting.
We will webcast the majority of meetings, enabling members of the public to watch the meeting live. The link to the webcast is available on the webpage for each meeting, alongside the agenda papers.
If you would like to observe a meeting, we would encourage you to use the webcasting facility.
The Council has produced a document that explains the measures implemented to ensure that council and committee meetings can be held safely and in compliance with government regulations and guidance relating to Covid-19. This is available here.
If you have any questions about webcasting or attending meetings, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Licensing Hearings will continue to be held virtually on Zoom. Guidance on how to participate in these meetings is available here.
