The Non-Exempt Minutes from the meetings on 26 January, 13 February and 28 February 2023 were agreed as a correct record and the Chair was authorised to sign them.

The Chair advised that the first two recommendations in the  public report, could be considered without consideration of the exempt information and asked the Committee to keep these recommendations in mind when considering the exempt information and moved to a vote on these recommendations.

RESOLVED:

That the Committee will consider the options available to the Sub-Committee and the implications for the Council and the employees was agreed.

That the Committee will ensure that the most appropriate and reasonable outcome is achieved for the employees and the Council was agreed.

Recommendations 2.1 and 2.2 were carried. 

The Chair advised that Recommendation 2.3 could not be determined without the consideration of exempt information and suggest that the Committee  consider the exclusion of the press and public and return to this item.  Agreed.

The Chair advised that in accordance with paragraph 88 of the Access to Information rules in Part 4 of the Constitution and Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Section 12 of the Local Government Act 1972, the committee must consider if the remaining agenda items should be in private. 

The Chair proposed that the exempt papers under consideration relate to two individual members of staff and cannot be shared publicly and moved a motion to exclude the press and public from the remainder of the meeting.

RESOLVED:

That the press and public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting was agreed.

The motions was carried.
