While this meeting is held in public it is not a public meeting, it is primarily designed for committee members to ask questions and engage with Thames Water representatives. Public questions may be taken where the committee feel this is appropriate. The aim is for a focused and productive discussion on local operational issues, rather than a forum for taking up individual casework.

The presentation and discussion thereafter will focus on the key following themes:

1. Water quality
2. Planned works and their impact on residents
3. Maintenance plans for the water supply network over the next five years
4. Contingency measures for service interruptions
5. Lessons learned and actions taken since their last meeting with the Council

Any items which the Chair agrees should be considered urgently by reason of special circumstances. The reason for urgency will be agreed by the Chair and recorded in the minutes.

To consider whether, in view of the nature of the business in the remaining items on the agenda any of them are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt or confidential information within the terms of the access to information procedure rules in the constitution and if so, whether to exclude the press and public during discussion thereof.

The public may be excluded from meetings whenever it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that exempt information would be disclosed.
