Remove the width restriction at the junction of Riversdale Road and Green Lanes

We the undersigned petition the council to remove the existing width restriction which causes daily incidents of road rage, damage to the street furniture and to user's vehicles and creates traffic jams

The existing traffic calming method - a width restriction - is not necessary in the position it sits. It is too close to the junction and prevents vehicles over a certain length passing, which is unnecessary and causes many issues for road users and pedestrians. If there is reason to restrict the weight of vehicles on this road, this should be done with a weight restriction instead of a width restriction. The constant damage done to the road and street furniture, to people's vehicles as they struggle to pass the point and as drivers become irate is unacceptable to citizens, dangerous to both other individuals and to pedestrians and completely unnecessary.
