Evershot Road Gardens - Prolific Drug Use
We the undersigned petition the council to immediately temporarily close Evershot Road Gardens to prevent the prolific and sustained drug use. Gate the entire area to prevent any access.

Medium to long term we recommend:
- make it part of the council house garden at the back
After continued reports from the residents to the police and council regarding the drug use in this area (including and not limited to Wray Cresent, Corbyn Street, Thorpedale and Evershot Road Gardens), we are asking the community and residents to support this petition.

There has been prolific drug use within the Evershot Road Garden during both the day and night for many months, but it has now reached a peak. Families are walking past in the daytime to see users injecting drugs and dealing. Children are subjected to being exposed to needle use and serious drug abuse.
Evershot Road Gardens currently serves NO purpose other than a place for drug use. It is not a garden. It is NOT green open space for the community. It is a paved, grotty area, with drug taking, paraphernalia and rubbish. This area needs to be closed off while the council decide what purpose it can serve best to its community.
